PICS FROM OUR EVENT OF YESTERDAY!

If you missed our performer Idella Quandry yesterday, I thought I would share a few moments with you. It was truly a wonderful event. The performance Idella gave was, as always, incredible and unique!! I am blessed to call her my friend and to be honored with her presence in the gallery. It is my hope to be able to have her perform again.

Please also note that today is the last day of our May show with our guest artists GANSO ARTIS & FILIPEMARQUES BETTENCOURT. If you have not seen their art yet, omg, you have to! They are both so talented.
Also, it is my pleasure to tell you that Soul Yeng, Ichiko Miles and myself have set up our new pieces within the last few days! We would love to hear your opinions.

Starting tomorrow, we are proud to present for our June show, RAMIREZ TORRANCE and ASTREA BLACKHEART. Ramirez is an established SL artist with an impressive collection. Astrea is still rather new but i know you will love her SL art.
So there is plenty to see. Come and visit us. We appreciate your patronage, donations and votes. !

IDELLA QUANDRY PERFORMS @ WORLD OF ART & FASHION

Please give a big, huge, warm welcome to my good friend Idella Quandry who is gonna perform at our gallery this coming Sunday 5/30 at 2pm SLT. Idella is NO amateur.

Originally from Tampa, Florida, Idella (aka Alicia Morgan) has worked with such big names as Neil Young, Oasis, Bobby Womack, Delaney Bramlett, and Norman Brown (to name only a few), with numerous television and movie credits as well. Alicia is currently doing keyboard studio work for the legendary producer Richard Perry, on an upcoming Rod Stewart record . She is a 2010 Grammy nominee, for playing on a song nominated for Best Instrumental Arranging from the movie "Love n' Dancing".

So please come and enjoy seeing her perform and of course we have our wonderful artists! Our current line of artists: Soul Yheng, Sandralee Palianta, Nicci Winsmore, Angrod Marenwolf, Xaiphin Fang, Theda Tammas, Zoree Jupiter, Artman Diavolo and TCCOR Winterwolf.

We still have our two guest artists of May FilipeMarques Bettencourt and Ganso Artis, as well as Newcomer to our gallery with brand new sculptures Ichiko Miles and new photography pieces from Nicci Winsmore. !!!!

ICHIKO MILES @ WORLD OF ART!!

This is with pride that World of Art is presenting our new addition to the gallery: ICHIKO MILES who has decided to grace our gallery with her wonderful sculptures.
Ichiko has been in numerous galleries on Second Life and is a well known Second Life Artist.

Art Show

Starting today, we have a Art show for Ganso Artis and FilipeMarques Bettencourt until the end of the month. Today's opening was fun!!

Filipe, born in Terceira, Azores, Portugal. fell in love with Photography at the age of 17 in a basic photography class in high school. Since then, he has worked in Fashion, Band Photographs and Fine Art/Landscape images.
His work has been featured on the Digital Photo Pro Website and Ovation TV "My Art" program. Filipe has sold museum quality prints to collectors internationally and has received honorable mentions for his work in various publications.

"The main focus of my work has always been Fashion/Editorial photography. But I've always tried to leave my doors open to different avenues.
My Fine Art work is what I do to relax, to get away from it all. It's my "reset button". A chance for me to slow down and take a closer look at everyday. I've been lucky enough that others that others relate to my art. "

Ganso Artis did his first realistic portrait when he was 9, has done illustrations since a teenager. Started self-learning painting on 2001, Watercolors, Acrylics. A creator on Fine Arts who's desire is that it might be at service to a persuation in wich he trusts and for what he endeavors, wich includes a great care and strong interest for cultural diversity.

On Saturday May 8th 2010, World of Art & Fashion presents him and his art, art such as the "Grandfather Castle in The Air" (2001) based on a dream he had about his grandfather. "We always loved each other and I always wanted to know how was him at WW2, but he wouldnt tell me cos I was too young to hear those things, so I dreamed about it".

STATS

Just to give you stats for today's Grand opening.
We have had 90 visitors for the entire day of 5/2. 46 people visited the gallery between 12pm and 4pm! So i think it was a good day. I counted about $5,000 minimum gross to the gallery and artists for the first 2 hours of the event.
